enchant software package provides Wrapper for various spell checker engines (binary programs), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install enchant
enchant is installed in your system.
Make ensure the enchant package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep enchant *
You will get with enchant package name, version, architecture and description in a table
